The app is available on Google Play and on the App Store.
Who is a Rider? What does it actually mean?
A Rider is a mechanic who can get out to the site and can provide service to vehicle owners.
What can I use the app for?
You can easily call a Rider for minor repairs and maintenance through the PROMONTIR client application. Additionally, you can book an appointment with a vehicle service registered in the PROMONTIR system. The app helps you find the Rider or vehicle service closest to your home or workplace as easily as possible.
What vehicles does PROMONTIR provide service for?
Within the application, you can manage the service and maintenance of your car, motorcycle, bicycle, and even your e-scooter.
Is internet connection required to use the app?
Yes, you need an internet connection to use the application.
How long and on what days can I use the service?
The service is available 24/7.
Questions about registration
Do I need to register to use the application?
Yes, you need to have an account to use the app.
What information do I have to provide for registration?
The information required for registration:
- Username
- Password
- Email address
- Phone number
- Full name
- Address
Can I register with a fictitious username or with my original name?
You can use any name as a username. For easier identification, we suggest registering with your real name, but it is not required.
Do I need to provide my location when using the app?
If you need on-the-spot service, please enable location services so we can find the closest Rider and send them to you quickly. We also use your location for appointment booking so the app can show the nearest vehicle services around you.
Questions about Riders
What information shall I provide to call a Rider?
- The vehicle you have trouble with
- The type of problem (brakes, engine, lighting, etc.)
- A photo of the vehicle and/or the specific problem
How can I call a Rider?
After providing the required parameters (vehicle type, fault type, photo), recommended nearby Riders are displayed. Choose the one that fits best and send a request with one tap. The Rider must accept your request, confirm availability, and then head to your location.
What counts as a minor on-the-spot service?
For example: tire patching (bicycles), oil refilling, wheel changes, battery replacement (cars), and other issues that don’t require a full workshop visit and can be handled on-site.
What time does it take for the Rider generally to get to the spot?
It depends on distance and traffic, but it generally shouldn’t take more than half an hour.
How do I know where the Rider is and when they will reach me?
The app provides an estimated arrival time so you know when to expect the Rider.
The Rider didn’t show up. What shall I do?
Please email support@promontir.com with the details (Rider name, location, date, and any information that helps identify the transaction).
Network connection has been lost, I cannot reach the Rider. What shall I do?
If you placed the order and the Rider accepted it, stay at the location—because the Rider is already on the way.
How can I directly contact the Rider? Is it possible or only indirectly through the app?
Direct contact is only possible via the in-app chat.
What to do if the app can’t find an available Rider near me?
It means all nearby Riders are busy. Please wait—once someone becomes available, you’ll be able to send a request.
How reliable/professional Riders are?
During registration, Riders declare that they have the professional qualifications for repairs and the required supporting documents.
Does PROMONTIR provide a warranty for any defective services?
HalloService Kft. does not provide repair services. PROMONTIR connects Riders and workshops with vehicle owners.
As a returning customer, can I call the same Rider who already repaired my vehicle?
At the moment, PROMONTIR allows you to choose from the top 5 best-rated mechanics.
Where can I rate the Rider?
After the job is completed, you can rate the Rider through a pop-up interface in the app.
Questions about payment
How much does it cost to use the application?
Downloading and using the app is free. Customers only pay the mechanic after the service is completed.
How can I pay for the Rider/mechanic?
You can pay with cash on the spot.
When can I pay for the service?
You can pay once the service is completed.
Do I get an invoice for the payment?
Yes, the invoice will be issued by the Rider/workshop after the service is completed.
Questions about booking an appointment
How can I book an appointment to the service?
You can book an appointment from the menu inside the app. On the main page, select the vehicle, issue, service, and time.
For how long and how can I cancel my appointment if I can’t show up?
Appointments can be cancelled no later than 6 hours before the scheduled time.
Are booking an appointment and cancellation free?
Yes, booking and cancelling an appointment are free.
